Progressive Dinner and Wine Pairing
Saturday, February 23rd
12pm - 6pm
On Saturday, February 23, the Haw River Wine Trail wineries will host a Progressive Food and Wine Pairing, a free event to the first 200 participants to visit each location. A different course will be served at each winery where the winemaker has chosen one wine to be served with a food selection. The event will run from 12 noon to 6 p.m. Participants may sample courses and wines in any order along the trail.
Grove Winery on Brooks Bridge Road in Osceola will feature Giacomo’s local gourmet salami and cheeses paired with a Nebbiolo. At GlenMarie Winery on Johnson Road in Burlington, marinated beef tenderloin shish kabobs will be paired with Cabernet Sauvignon. Iron Gate Vineyards & Winery of Lynch Store Road in Mebane is serving up a French onion soup that can be enjoyed with their Chambourcin. A chocolate apricot pecan torte paired with Magnolia will be featured at Benjamin Vineyards & Winery on Whitney Road in Saxapahaw.
The Haw River Wine Trail is an approximately 45-mile long drive that follows the Haw River from the northwest corner to the southeast corner of Alamance County.
